Job Description:
Supervises the surgery department in the director's absence. Communicates effectively with all OR team members and hospital personnel to ensure efficiency and safety. Provides safe care in the Operating Room through continuous patient assessment and accurate documentation. Utilizes management skills and positive leadership to promote efficient use of staff, OR facility, and provide quality patient care. Schedules cases and personnel to meet patient and surgeon needs cost-effectively. Identifies and resolves problems appropriately. Monitors and evaluates patient care to ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures. Provides constructive criticism and counseling to staff to facilitate productivity and quality care. Assists in maintaining adequate supplies through cost-effective management. Demonstrates proficiency in utilizing computer documentation and the Computer Tracking Board. Informs the director promptly of significant unit information and supports decisions regarding unit operations. Performs other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • N/A
Education: • Associate's of Nursing [Required]
• Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]
Field of Study: • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
