There are administrative responsibilities such as ordering office supplies and assisting with timesheets for employees.
Ideal candidates should be able to adaptable to handle phone inquiries and serve as the department's frontline representative.

Role Purpose
Provides clerical support in an ambulatory patient care setting encompassing hospital mission, vision and values.
Responsibilities
Coordinates patient referral procedure by management of work queues, in baskets and faxes, as well as initiates the pre-authorization process. Runs eligibility in software to confirm insurance coverage.
Provides clerical support including, but not limited to, scanning documents, preparing charts, managing e-correspondence and general inquiries.
Schedules and coordinates patient appointments with the department and other areas (radiology, procedure area, other testing) at the time of check out.
Effectively interacts and communicates with patients and families to assist them and direct them to access available resources such as financial assistance, social work, and more.
