• Shift Details:   36 hours per week - the shift is  every Wednesday , Thursday, and Friday night from 1900-0730 - (Requires one on call shift per month and is on a holiday rotation
• Must have either an RN, LPC, or LCSW licensure OR Provisional PLPC or LMSW
• If you hold an RN license, you MUST have a minimum of 2 years of Behavioral Health nursing experience
• Looking for candidates that live in the Missouri or Illinois area. 
• It is a virtual, work from home job, after in-person training at Christian Hospital for 4 week
• Clients: You will perform crisis evaluations across 13 BJC facilities virtually with behavioral health and substance use patients and clients
• Who will this person interact with on a regular basis:  Other teammates, (QMHPs and Navigators), hospital physicians and APP staff, nurses, unit secretaries, psychiatrists, collateral information providers
• Ideal Skill Set/MUST HAVE skills for this position:  Good communication skills, technology skills, critical thinking skills, ability to handle multiple tasks
• Job responsibilities:  Perform crisis evaluations for behavioral health patients in the Emergency Departments and behavioral health/substance use patients in inpatient units across BJC.  Provide resources as necessary and appropriate, complete safety plans, talk with friends/family of patients for collateral information, complete affidavits if necessary,  collaborate with physicians, social workers, nurses, psychiatrists.  Attend/attest to mandatory meetings and trainings.

BJC Behavioral Health is a community health center that provides and coordinates behavioral health services for more than 8,000 seriously mentally ill adults and seriously emotionally disturbed children in St. Louis City, St. Louis County, St. François, Iron and Washington counties.  As an Administrative Agent of the Missouri Department of Mental Health (DMH), BJC Behavioral Health serves as a major point of entry for people eligible for mental health services funded by DMH and is responsible for serving as gatekeeper to the public mental health system.  

Role Purpose

The Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) provides comprehensive evaluation and education services to mental health and chemically dependent patients. This position is part of a multi-disciplinary team that will work with multiple health services organizations (HSOs) to address the needs of the patient. This position provides in-person services, as well as via teleheatlh.
