The role you’ll contribute:
The Director of Patient Care Services is responsible for the planning, organizing, developing, and directing of departmental operations for a group of nursing units in accordance with regulatory agencies and the Hospital's mission, as well as physician and patient expectations. The Director of Patient Care Services in Lake Placid also assists the Administrator with administrative duties by providing oversight for hospital operations in their absence.

- Collaborates with the Executive Director of Patient Care Services and the Vice President of Nursing in the determination of clinical, educational, and administrative nursing goals as well as associated functions and processes necessary to achieve those goals. * Demonstrates a positive, collaborative attitude to the multidisciplinary process. * Assists in ensuring that the diversity of the nursing workforce reflects the community population diversity to ensure the delivery of culturally competent care.
- Uses allocated human, material, and financial resources to achieve patient care services goals. * Participates in annual budget preparation for areas of responsibility. Recommends staffing requirements in areas based on volume, severity of illness, and standards for care delivery. * Assumes an active role in the implementation of technologies to meet the needs of professional nursing.
- Evaluates and recommends revisions to systems and processes of nursing services to ensure achievement of nurse-sensitive patient care outcomes.
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
- Bachelor's Nursing Required
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing Required
- Bachelor's BSN Required
- Master's MSN or MBA Preferred
- 5 years exprience Required
- 5 progressive experience in management position Required
- RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure Required
- BCLS - Basic Life Support Required
- ACLS Required
