DescriptionSUBFUNCTION DEFINITION: Genetic counseling is the process of advising individuals and families affected by or at risk of genetic disorders to help them understand and adapt to the medical, psychological and familial implications of genetic contributions to disease.There is an immediate opening for a Genetic Counselor to join our team at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. The role may involve both laboratory and clinical responsibilities in pediatric oncology and other specialties. Position may be tailored to the interests of the candidate.CCHMC SALARY GRADE:11Perform basic genetic counseling. Attends divisional meetings and provides educational outreach at community events.REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES
