Position Overview: â�¢The Registered Nurse I/RN I assumes principle responsibility for the total nursing care, assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of all Emergency Department patients. â�¢Additionally, the Registered Nurse I/ RN I initiates patient teaching and educates the family or significant other to attain optimal health. â�¢The Registered Nurse I/ RN I uses effective verbal and written skills to communicate with people on all levels and maintains positive working relationships with patients, families, co-workers, and physicians. â�¢The Registered Nurse I/ RN I continues in a mentor relationship with a designated RN, and works toward independent practice and growth educationally in the Emergency Department.
Position Qualifications: â�¢California Registered Nurse/RN License â�¢BLS/CPR â�¢Basic Computer Skills â�¢ACLS within three (3) months of hire â�¢PALS within three (3) months of hire â�¢MICN (after one year of employment as an RN) â�¢ED Triage Course (after one year of employment as an RN) â�¢AB-508 Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within six (6) months of hire
