The Supply Coordinator is responsible for maintaining inventory, ordering, receiving, and storing of equipment, supplies, and instruments for the department. Works with department managers to coordinate purchases. Maintains records of supplies and purchases. Works closely with Materials Management Department.
Minimum Job Requirements
High School education.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Orders and inventories supplies and equipment and tracks back-orders.
Participates in annual inventory.
Records temperature, integrity of package, date, time, and location of all tissue coming into OR in a timely and accurate manner.
Removes any recall items from the OR and returns to vendor and notifies Material Management.
Ability to relate cooperatively and constructively with patients, families and co-workers, using effective oral and written communication skills.
Basic knowledge and use of computer and printers and/or the ability to learn appropriate software applications.
Surgical Technician with minimum of 2 years of experience preferred.
