ROLE RESPONSIBILITY AND ACCOUNTABILITY: Will evaluate and treat skin conditions and interpret studies. Be an integral member of the Dermatology clinic and provide medical oversight. Ability to interpret skin lesions, diagnose, treat, or recommend treatment for diseases of the dermis system. This specialist can provide care for conditions including, evaluate patients' skin condition, assess and update patients' medical history, keep a record of patients' symptoms, analyze all information regarding skin health conditions, prescribe medication, inform patients about available treatments, monitor the effectiveness of skin treatments, conduct non-intrusive medical surgeries, educate patients on preventive skin care, Refer patients to other specialists if needed.
Attend conferences and seminars to learn about new medical techniques and topics skills and provide inpatient treatment or recommendations of treatment through consultation to other providers in the ICU, ED or inpatient hospital setting.
Direct patient care in the inpatient and outpatient settings.
Provide diagnosis and treatment to adult patients presenting with conditions that are applicable to his/her practice, training, experience or current competence.
Provide treatment of skin diseases and disorders in an outpatient setting, provide consultation services in an inpatient setting or emergent need.
Perform minor procedures per credentialing and privileging approvals.
Order routine diagnostic imaging studies and labs.
