Smaller cities like Jefferson City, our capital, and Columbia, home of the University of Missouri, offer vibrant communities buzzing with activity, yet free of the hustle and bustle of larger metropolitan areas. Here you'll find clever cuisine, fun events, picturesque parks and historical sites within friendly communities. Or, if you want to get away from it all and experience the wonders of nature, the Lake of the Ozarks offers 1,150 miles of shoreline, making it the destination for lake activity in Missouri.
