The Radiology Admin manages assess and provide problem-solving input, initiate repair, and coordinate system-wide maintenance programs to assure sustainable high image quality and system function.
Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited program for radiologic technology with a minimum of 2 years radiology technology experience or have obtained an Informatics degree with high Radiology knowledge. Associate?s Degree required. Bachelor?s degree preferred. 2 years PACS experience is required.
CERTIFICATION/LICENSES: ARRT (RT) with current New Mexico State License is preferred and BLS certification is required.
SKILLS: Demonstrated experience with current systems analysis principles, practices, tools and techniques Knowledge of and experience with current PACS system and application and design principles and concepts, including:
Technical and operations documentation standards
Proven ability to communicate effectively with users and staff who have a variety of levels of knowledge, skills and responsibilities:
Assist personnel in the operation of computer systems and applications
Prepare documentation, charts, graphs, project plans, training materials and other
written communications.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Professional work habits and demeanor, including:
Ability to work independently or with limited supervision
Ability to work well with people from different disciplines who may have varying degrees of technical expertise.
Ability to work in a team environment and to contribute to the effective functioning of that team.
Strong computer skills
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum Qualifications: Technologist with a minimum of 2 years experience using a Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) or three years of Pacs or Epic experience as a Pacs or Epic IT specialist. Mechanical aptitude and ability with attention to detail required. Clinical experience with emphasis on radiology systems required.

General office and hospital setting with exposure to computer room and patient care environment.
PHYSICAL and SCHEDULING REQUIREMENTS:
Some in-town travel required
May be required to work outside of normal working hours while on call for issue resolution
May be required to work long hours during critical problems or implementations
May be required to withhold paid-time off during critical problems or implementations provided adequate notice is given.
Ability to lift and transfer objects typically not in excess of 50 lbs.
Extended use of video display terminal and keyboard utilizing sound ergonomic principles.
