Exciting opportunity for a Business Manager in the Nursing space. This is an onsite position.
Overview
Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University Medical Center is the largest hospital in Missouri and is ranked as one of the nation's top hospitals by U.S. News & World Report. The Nursing Administration Department handles all staffing coordinators and the Clinical Operations Coordinators (COC). The Nursing Administration also coordinates budgeting for the nursing departments located throughout the hospital. The department also handles visitors, expirations and walk-ins.

Role Purpose
Supports people in a leadership role by directing and managing the annual operating and capital budget process for all patient care services working with the Vice President of Patient Care, Controller, Directors, and Clinical Managers. Manages the Central Service Equipment Distribution departments along with the Nursing Office business services delivered to clinical areas. Manages hospital equipment rental for all patient care services. Provides financial analysis related to actual performance of clinical areas. Builds collaborative teams and champions pro-active employee relations, managing conflict and/or change towards productive outcomes.
Responsibilities
Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
Directs and manages the operating and capital budgeting processes for the department, including the monitoring of actual costs against these budgets.
Provides various financial analysis in support of department goals and objectives.
Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets. Responds to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.
