Provides coordination, clerical and administrative support to the health care team on patient care units. Maintains a customer focused approach establishing effective communication between the health care team and the patient, family/significant other. Responsibilities: Communication - Demonstrates the ability to process and interface appropriate information between the health care team and the patient, family/significant other to ensure quality patient outcomes. Secretarial - Maintains the flow of telephone communication through appropriate information gathering and relay. Documentation - Appropriately processes MD orders and pertinent patient information.
