Responsible for integrating the organization’s mission and values throughout the region, promoting organizational integrity in all dealings and interactions, cultivating a values-based organizational culture, and uniting people around the organization's mission, vision, values, and heritage. Directs key initiatives and programs to support defined mission integration goals.
Job Responsibilities and Requirements:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Imparts the mission, values, and vision of SSM Health and facilitates the integration of values in all activities. Accountable for mission integration operational planning, coordination and decision making.
Works collaboratively with other regional and system Mission Integration staff. Collaborates to plan events. Leads mission-related activities, celebrations, and prayers.
Provides a credible mission perspective on hospital leadership teams and other leadership groups as appropriate. Supports decision-making processes throughout the ministries.
Facilitates formation experiences for leaders, physicians, and staff.
Ensures organization of care for the caregiver and organized and active mission awareness teams in every entity.
Provides support and supervision of Ethics Committees and ensures committee practices reflect best practices.
Ensures organizational alignment with the Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Health Care Services.
Assists in implementation of pastoral care strategy. Supports staff.
Leads collaboration with local parishes and faith communities to cultivate relationships and communication.
Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
Master's degree in Theology, Pastoral Care or related field
EXPERIENCE
Ten years' experience in the pastoral field
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.
Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
Frequent keyboard use/data entry.
Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping.
Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
Rare climbing.
