DescriptionCincinnati Children's Hospital is looking for a qualified Senior Informatics Analyst to join our imaging informatics team. As a Senior Informatics Analyst, you will join a team that provides service and support for imaging-related computer systems throughout the institution. The role analyzes, implements and maintains medical imaging, computer-based systems, and applications. Utilizes technical knowledge to provide ongoing support. Must have a technical mind, attention to detail, and the ability to describe technical information in easy-to-understand terms with a friendly customer service demeanor.
No prior experience is needed in Imaging but healthcare application support experience is strongly preferred.
This is a Hybrid Remote role the ideal candidate will work remotely and onsite weekly. You must live within 50- miles of your CCHMC assigned location and in states where CCHMC has an established business presence. Those states presently include Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana.
RESPONSIBILITIESRespond to, troubleshoot, and resolve imaging systems-related issue requests from the department and institution. Maintain issues log and troubleshooting guide. Document issue resolution and provide feedback to users on how to avoid consistent errors. Escalate issues to management with potential solutions. Perform analysis of imaging workflows, data collection, report details, and other technical issues. Work with departments to understand reporting needs. Monitor systems as necessary using available methods. Find innovative ways to improve the efficiency of processes, workflows, and software.
Participate in the installation, configuration, updating, testing, validation, and ongoing support of moderately complex imaging-related systems. Coordinate software updates and changes. Ensure that data coming across systems interfaces meets the business need. Create and prepare basic scripts to aid in the support and maintenance of systems.
Consult within the department to determine system requirements. Assess and understand the downstream impact of changes in systems and technology. Evaluate current systems for quality/utilization. Document business processes, technical requirements, imaging and data workflows. Design, write and prepare user documentation and training materials. Assist with the development of training standards and objectives. Assist with and conduct training as needed.
Manage moderately complex medical imaging projects. Create and maintain project plans to ensure timely completion of projects. Set project task goals, milestones, and priorities.
Serve as liaison between users, Information Services, and vendors.
QualificationsRequired: - Bachelor's degree in a related field
- 3-5 years of work experience in a related job discipline
Preferred: - DICOM, HL7 experience
- CIIP, CRES, or PACS Administrator Certification
- Good understanding of computer and Information Technology concepts.
