Additional Information About the Role- Memorial Hospital Belleville and Shiloh is seeking a Foundation Program Manager who will be responsible for researching and analyzing grant opportunities within St. Clair County, IL.
- In this role, you will act as a liaison with funders, grantees and collaborating agencies. Additional responsibilities include foundation and hospital brand promotion and foundation operations.
- This position requires visits within the community as well as both Memorial Hospital locations.
OverviewMemorial Hospital Belleville is an acute care hospital offering medical and surgical services plus critical and emergency care including Children’s at Memorial for pediatric emergency care. It provides patients a full complement of diagnostic and treatment services as well as heart and vascular care. Memorial, offering medical and surgical services plus critical care, is an accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI by the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care and is designated as an Acute Stroke Ready Hospital by the Illinois Department of Public Health. In addition, Memorial Belleville recently was accredited by the American College of Radiology as a designated Lung Cancer Screening Center. Since 2008, it has been designated as a Magnet®-recognized organization for nursing excellence by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
Memorial Hospital Shiloh, a 94-bed, all-private suite hospital was recognized with Magnet status in 2018 and provides emergency care, labor & delivery, nursery, medical and surgical services plus critical care.
Role Purpose
The Foundation Program Manager is responsible for researching and analyzing grant opportunities and making recommendations on their feasibility. This position is responsible for the identification of partners who advance the Foundation’s goals for sustained community investment, and for the preparation of grant/program applications, to include writing, budgeting and contract management in collaboration with the Foundation Executive Director, Board of Directors and other partners. This position also represents the Memorial Foundation in the community, acting as a liaison with funders, grantees and collaborating agencies as well as in day-to-day Foundation operations.
Responsibilities
- Implements the Foundation’s community investment strategy; elevates the hospital’s presence in its service area, resulting in positive outcomes for the community.
- Establishes positive relationships with related internal & external partners, corporate, charitable, civic, community, educational and government organizations.
- Prepares and presents ad hoc reports on grant office statistics and other requested topics to the Executive Director and Board of Directors.
- Supports Memorial Foundation’s Grant Committee review of grant proposals; performs due diligence work, manages current grants, evaluates grant results, and makes recommendations based on established criteria.
- Records all gifts, makes bank deposits, posts funds to individual accounts in Raiser’s Edge, and submits monthly cash and fund activity reports to BJC Foundation Finance.
- Ensures processes are in place to track event donations, auction items and sponsorships as it relates to Foundation activities.
- Performs Other Responsibilities as Assigned
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree
- 2-5 years of experience
