 Akron Children's Hospital is seeking a visionary Physician Leader to oversee and enhance the Behavioral Health Service Line for the organization in administrative partnership with the Vice President responsible for the service line. This leader's scope includes all domains: Inpatient Services, Crisis and Emergency Services, Outpatient Behavioral Health Programs (Partial, IOP, Specialty Office Visits), Integrated - Primary Care Behavioral Health Therapy, including chronic disease support, trauma, mood and anxiety disorders and addiction' telepsychiatry and virtual therapy services. Responsibilities include Education oversight for Behavioral Health Service Line education programs of our own child and adolescent fellowships as well as trainees at all levels and CME. The chair further supports faculty development including leadership development, research and quality improvement and teaching services in conjunction with Chief Academic Officer. This position has an endowed Chair - Lois C. Orr Endowed Chair in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Requirements The successful candidate will be an MD/DO with board certification in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and have a minimum of 5 years of experience with a demonstrated track record of results and fostering an environment of diversity and inclusion within a team of faculty, staff and students. The physician leader will pursue academic appointment at the rank of Associate or full Professor at Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED).
