In conjunction with each Phoenix Children`s Pharmacy`s Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) and other pharmacy leaders, this position leads, supports and promotes safety, quality, regulatory and accreditation standards of the pharmacy department throughout the entire organization. This role will lead and direct a staff of pharmacy compliance and safety professionals. The Pharmacy Compliance Manager will report directly to the Vice President Chief Pharmacy Officer with indirect oversight by the Chief Compliance Officer.
Education
Bachelors Degree (BS) or Doctoral Degree (Pharm.D) in Pharmacy (Required)
Completion of a post-graduate year 1 (PGY-1) pharmacy residency program accredited by ASHP or similar experience (Preferred)
Master`s Degree in related healthcare area (Preferred)
Experience
Five (5) years of progressive pharmacy practice experience within an acute care environment to include a minimum of two (2) years supervisory experience with direct reports. (Required)
Expertise in establishing and maintaining pharmacy regulatory (BOP, DEA, FDA) and medication management (CMS, AZDS, TJC) standards in acute and ambulatory care environments. (Required)
Experience in working with retail, compounding or specialty pharmacy regulatory and accreditation standards. (Preferred)
Certifications
Current licensure or eligible as a Pharmacist either by reciprocity or examination by the Arizona State Board of Pharmacy (Required)
