JOB SUMMARY
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Lead and conduct application development teams and projects including code review
- Provide technology guidance and architecture recommendations for upcoming business needs
- Provide day to day operational support for newly delivered software assets

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
If direct report positions are listed below, the following responsibilities will be performed in accordance with guidelines, policies and procedures and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

- Define and drive technical direction for business solutions
- Leadership and management of an application development sub-team, including performance management of all staff to include building team, mentoring and providing ongoing management on performance objectives.
- Lead the analysis, design, development and transition to operations of existing and new technical solutions through the full systems development life cycle.
- Very senior-level knowledge, skills, and ability to perform business and systems analysis, design technology solutions, and lead teams to perform analysis
- Web applications, dasboards, and data entry solutions
- OLTP and OLAP databases and reporting solutions including advanced analytics and business intelligence
- Integration solutions between disparate and legacy platforms
- Requires extensive application development and leadership experience including the following technologies:
- Microsoft .NET/C#
- SQL Server, Cognos, and ETL technologies. Experience with other database platforms such as Vertica, Teradata, Netezza, Mongo, or Hadoop is a huge plus
- Healthcare data interchange specifications (837, 835, HL7) and interface engine technologies (preferred)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
