Summary

Provides protection for personnel and property in designated area of responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Provides protective service to employees, patients, physicians and visitors including security escorts.
• Provides surveillance of employees going to and from parking areas during shift change.
• Secures buildings.
• Unlocks/locks offices.
• Patrols assigned areas on foot.
• Assists nursing and medical staff with difficult patients or visitors.
• Assists medical staff with insuring patient safety.
• Responds to emergency alarms, code blues and other calls for emergency assistance.
• Enforces hospital policies.
• Prepares routine activity reports and preliminary Investigative Reports.
• Assists, city, state and federal law agencies as required.

Education

Required: High School Graduate or equivalent
