Saint Alphonsus Medical Center (SAMC) - Baker City has an excellent full-time (0.9 FTE) opportunity for an experienced, Board Certified or Board Eligible Emergency Medicine or Family Medicine physician to practice in the Emergency Department located in Baker City, Oregon.

SAMC - Baker City is a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital with a Level IV Trauma Designation serving Baker County and the surrounding communities in eastern Oregon.

The well-qualified candidate will commit to a multidisciplinary team approach to patient care in the Emergency Department and support the regional needs of the Oregon Trauma System and the Saint Alphonsus Trauma Network. Requirements include a strong clinical background and completion of the required delineation of privileging which includes ACLS, PALS and ATLS as a minimum. The opportunity also requires Oregon medical licensure and granting of privileges at Saint Alphonsus Baker City.

Support includes 24/7 CRNA Anesthesia; Level IV Trauma Center; ED; Saint Alphonsus FM clinic on-site; community family medicine clinics; SAHS specialty physicians rotate in outreach; larger system resources.

The schedule for this full-time (0.9 FTE) employment opportunity is 24-hour shifts, 65 shifts per year.

Requirements for this opportunity include Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree; successful completion of an accredited ACGME/AOA Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine residency program; board certification, or board eligibility, in Emergency Medicine or Family Medicine; obtain Oregon medical licensure and granting of privileges at SAMC - Baker City and other health system affiliated hospitals as needed; valid controlled substance registration with Board of Pharmacy and DEA.
