Learn more at www.multicarejobs.org Position Summary:Laboratory Assistant / Phlebotomist is responsible for obtaining blood samples from patients, transporting samples and other potentially biohazardous specimens to the laboratory for medical testing, and processing specimens according to protocol and procedures. Work situations require a high level of phlebotomy expertise. This position requires a service-oriented individual who can establish good, positive, and effective relations with all patients and staff, who has exceptional organization skills, pays attention to detail, and uses discretion and good judgment in decision-making. Internal contacts include MHS staff and management. External contacts include patients, patient's families, and physicians. Minimum Requirements:Experience in a hospital setting preferred Education/Licenses/Certifications:Current Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist Certification or Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist eligibleCurrent Washington State Drivers License; and proof of a safe driving record (which meets established MHS Standards) obtained by a motor vehicle report from the appropriate state
