Overview
Atlantic Health System is seeking a Full Time Certified Medical Assistant for the AMG, The Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Department of Morristwon Medical Center.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
Reviews daily appointment schedule with provider and develops a plan for patient care activities
Obtains Pre-Op paperwork, labs, referral consultation notes, and hospitalization and ED records prior to appointment
Processes lab letters, referrals and forms, and obtains prior authorizations for medications, referrals and tests per insurance requirements
Prepares and assesses patients for provider visit
Ensures exam rooms are neat, clean and stocked
Observes, records and reports patient responses to medical care provided during appointment
Prepares, administers and documents medications and vaccinations as ordered by provider and/or standing order policy
Assists provider with office procedures and collection of specimens
Processes prescriptions per provider instruction and policy.
Qualifications
Education:
Qualifications/Requirements:
MA certification through AAMA, AMCA, AMT, NCCT, or NHA preferred
Minimum two (2) years as a Certified Medical Assistant in a practice preferred
