Food Service Worker - Patient Care - Dietary - PT/Days
JOB SUMMARY: This position is accountable for placing updated diet orders/messages received from Meditech in appropriate diet rands. Answers telephone. Tallies worksheets. Delivers nourishment snacks to all patients. Prepares and/or sets up food items needed for patients meal service. Performs other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: A minimum of six (6) months experience working in a food service operation or a minimum of six (6) months experience working in a healthcare food service operation preferred. Serve Safe Certificate preferred. Must be able to read, write legibly, understand, and follow oral and written English instruction. Must have knowledge of materials and methods used in large scale food production and of use and care of equipment and utensils. Must be able to follow standardized recipes. Must have good communication skills and be able to work in a team environment. Must have excellent customer service skills and positive and compassionate attitude. Must have working knowledge of modified diets and formulas. Bilingual skills preferred. Must possess computer skills.
POSITION DETAILS: Part-time, 40 hours per pay period. Day shifts. Must be available to work weekends and holidays
