The role you’ll contribute:
The paramedic is a professional who works under the direction of the Registered Nurse, within the scope of the paramedic practice, provides care to patients in accordance with hospital mission and patient care policies and procedures.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
- Communicates, collects, reports accurate patient care data to appropriate members of the interdisciplinary team.
- Performs ongoing observations on patients under the direction of the RN
- Collects data for the assessment of patient/family needs in relation to care, condition, and education
- Documents in the electronic medical record the patient/family status and response to treatment
- Anticipates patient care problems and informs the RN/physician.
- Participates in the patient/family care, utilizing established techniques as part of the multidisciplinary team
- Assists in the admission, transfer and discharge of patients as directed by the RN.
QualificationsThe expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
- Florida State Paramedic License
- BLS
- ACLS
