Missouri Baptist Medical Center, an acute care hospital in St. Louis County, offers a full continuum of medical and surgical services, including heart care, cancer, women and infants, breast health, gastrointestinal, orthopedic, stroke, therapy, wound and pain management services. Role Purpose

Environmental services worker who is responsible for daily housekeeping services as assigned, using procedures as outlined by the hospital or service organization.

*These positions will work only shifts that are open due to FMLA, PTO and/or unscheduled occurrences with the purpose of eliminating premium pay and burning out existing staff. In order for these positions to be most effective they should be from 10 am to 6:30 pm on week days and 7:00 am through 3:30 pm on weekends. These are the times that have the highest needs for support.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine janitorial and cleaning activities in patient, public and common areas using prescribed, established cleaning process.
• Performs floor care and project cleaning functions in assigned area
• Keeps equipment clean and functional according to procedures.
• Performs discharge cleaning process in inpatient rooms, prepares room for next admission and makes any necessary changes.
• Works various positions where needed to ensure quality and timely delivery of service.
• Performs Other Responsibilities as Assigned

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Requirements

• <2 years of experience
