Practice Details:

• Located on the Missouri Baptist Medical Center campus, you will be joining 11  full-time Cardiologists and 3 Cardiology Nurse Practitioners
• Our  practice features a high volume TAVR program, MitraClip program and a Watchman program
• We provide additional service with peripheral and coronary interventions, inpatient and outpatient consults, echocardiography,  transesophageal echocardiography (including 4D), and stress testing
• In collaboration with Missouri Baptist Medical Center, we provide interpretive services, to include: Echocardiography, electrocardiography, Holter and  event monitor, and stress testing
• Additional services provided are advanced CTO management and structural and functional MRI services

Position Highlights: 

• The provider selected for our expanding team will come equipped with a dedicated Medical Assistant and a group of support staff
• Monday through Friday work week. This includes 36 patient hours and 4 administrative hours
• 5-day work week divided by 2 days in the catheterization lab, 2 days in the clinic, and 1 day doing inpatient consults
• Strong support from the on-site cardiac and vascular support team
• Great mentorship available
• Ideal candidate would like a good blend of interventional and general cardiology
• Reasonable shared call schedule with Nurse Practitioner call support on the weekends

Role Purpose

Ensures optimal care and promotes safety of patients admitted to assigned service in cooperation with the private attending staff and nursing staff. Communicates with staff, patients, and families.

Responsibilities

• Manages the medical care of assigned patients.
• Collaborates with patients, families, and members of the health care team to ensure excellent clinical outcomes.
• Performs and documents histories and physicals in the patient's medical record as required by hospital by-laws.
• Supervises and instructs medical students and residents assigned to service. Assists in the learning needs of residents and students as assessed.
• BJC has determined this is a safety-sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function of this job.

Minimum Requirements

• Doctorate Degree in Medicine
• Physician licensure
• 2-5 years experience
