M Health Fairview is looking for a Transport Aide at the University of Minnesota The transport aide facilitates the care of the Emergency Department patients receiving ancillary department services including: transporting patients to Radiology, delivering specimens to the Laboratory, delivering and retrieving materials. The Transport Aide will also stock supplies and maintain cleanliness of the Emergency Department. We serve a diverse patient population including adults/pediatrics. The position is for 40hours every two weeks on the Day/Evening shift with an every other weekend rotation.

The East Building is located on the University of Minnesota Medical Center West Bank Campus. Within the East Building, University of Minnesota Health clinical care teams provide a wide range of services for adults and children, including care at the Pediatric Specialty Care Explorer Clinic and Pediatric Specialty Care Journey Clinic.
The West Bank campus is conveniently located on the West Bank of the Mississippi River near downtown Minneapolis. They offer a broad range of services from: cliical trials, groundbreaking technologies and treatments, and is home to the University of MN Masonic Children's Hospital.

Job duties include:
Transporting patients to and from locations throughout the University Campus to facilitate service and assure patient safety.
Maintaining equipment and readiness to assure prompt patient delivery.
Demonstrating appropriate knowledge of safety protocols, infection control standards and emergency preparedness.
Working with patients, families and all members of the medical team.
Ensuring patient satisfaction by providing prompt and timely responses to all transport related tasks.
Providing outstanding customer service to patients, families and all members of the medical team.
High School Diploma/GED
Strong communication and customer services skills
Current BLS Certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross)
Ability to stand and walk for entire shift
Ability to lift, transfer and transport patients and equipment
