Patient Service Aide
This is a temporary position to help with our current need.
Perform a variety of manual duties associated withcleaning, servicingand delivering in assigned areas.
Wo rk Performed
Clean and service assigned areas and equipment to i nclude tables,shelves, countertops, refrigerators, stoves and patient ca re equipment;maintain sufficient stock and supplies in storage areas forproperperformance of these duties; report needed items for reorder.Clea nandsterilize bedpans, urinals, emesis basins, instruments, glasswareand otheritems; restockpatient rooms with clean supplies andequipment; swe epand spot mop floors in emergency situations.Pick up, fold and store li nen.Pick up and deliverspecimens, charts, clinical records, requisitions and supplies asdirected; move furniture on wards as required.Escort ort ransport patients to and from hospital wards, laboratories, clinicsand o ther areas.Answer phone and record and relay requests forunit services.P erform other related duties incidental to thework described herein.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Heavy lifting and the ab ility to transport stretcher and wheelchairpatients to various hospital locations is also required.STERILETECHNIQUE

Work requires the ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions generally acquired through a partial high school education.
