Performs specializ ed or advancedhealth information activities necessary to organize, maint ain, and useelectronic patient health records. Specific j ob responsibilities are based on the service unitwithin Health Informati on Management assigned and include: Performs HIPAAcompliant screening of incoming requests for protected health information ofour patients, dist ribution of medical records, deficiency management duplicatepairs resolution, deceased flag management, management of calls for medicalrecord nu mbers; deficiency management to assure compliance with federal andstate regulatory and accrediting body requirements for health record contentan d timely completion and document management to include the capture of he althrecords in an electronic format. Associate's Degree in HIT preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abil ities:
Good organizationa l skills, excellent investigative/analytic skills with detail orientati on, and strong follow through capabilities. Excellent verbal and writte n communication skills in order to effectively problem solve, develop w orking relationships and assist system users.
