At Fairview Northland Medical Center the Med Surg unit consists of medical and surgical, pediatrics, and adult Intensive Care patients. The Med/Surg/Peds unit consists of 22 beds and the ICU has 4 beds. We have 43 nurses, 12 nursing assistants (also known as nursing station attendants), and 1 HUC. We are recognized for having high employee engagement results, high patient experience, and an atmosphere of accountability.
Nursing Assistant/HUC schedule may include:
72 hours/2 weeks
12 hour shifts on night shifts
Will be required to work every third weekend (F, S, S)
Will work in ICU, Med Surg, and Birthplace

The Nursing Station Attendant position is responsible for assisting with patient care, performing receptionist duties on the station and maintaining patient care areas.
1-2 years of experience working in a health care setting
Previous customer service experience
Current BLS certification
Must have experience working with computer applications (e.g. WORD, EPIC, hospital specific software applications) and telephone usage.
Successful completion of a nursing assistant training program or health unit coordinator program
Previous experience in patient care, as a HUC and/or working with providers
