Mercy Medical Group (MMG), a multi-specialty group with more than 450 healthcare providers in the Sacramento region, is looking to add a Nurse Practitioner to the regions premiere Cardiac Surgery program at our Midtown clinic. Our clinicians provide services to patients at Dignity Health Medical Foundations Mercy Medical Group locations throughout Sacramento.

This is an outpatient focused opportunity seeing pre/post-operative patients, established patient medical management, and addressing the multiple facets of peri-operative cardiac care, including medication management, rehabilitation and wound care, with an emphasis on avoidance of hospital readmissions through improved clinical care access and coordination. This position will also involve daily participation in multi-disciplinary hospital rounds, with discharge coordination.    

Work schedule is Monday through Friday with no call responsibilities. 

All care locations have a full electronic health record system.

The successful candidate will have at least 1 year prior clinical experience, preferably in Cardiac Surgery, Cardiology or Vascular Medicine. Wound care experience/certification is desirable.
