Work Hours/Shift:
Meets service standards for on-time deliveries, according to schedule, to all Nutritional Services locations, other AdventHealth departments, and external customers, across the central Florida area. Product should be loaded onto the truck in a well-organized and secure manner, ensuring the customer receiving process is smooth and product is undamaged. Deliveries to off-route locations, late runs, run-backs, and special deliveries may be required. Driver will ensure truckâ™s refrigerator/freezer is functioning to keep product at correct, safe temperatures. All pans, carts/ racks, and flatbeds will be picked up and returned to the FPC for further processing.
Pulls orders for external customers and supply orders for the FPC production areas. Order requisitions are filled accurately, checking for quality and quantity, in a timely manner; with discrepancies, changes, and back orders clearly documented on paperwork. If missing or back-ordered items occur, notifies buyer/warehouse supervisor/purchasing department immediately. Pallets and/or flat beds are loaded in an organized and strategic manner, to ensure safe and accurate delivery to the customer.
Orders received at the FPC are checked against PO/Requisition for accuracy and documents when discrepancies are found. Food and truck temperatures are monitored and documented according to the FPC HACCP program, and corrective action taken as needed. All product are properly stored in bins within the warehouse and rotated according to the FIFO method of stock rotation, according to date. When delivering product, driver will assist in customer receiving their order by reviewing paperwork/requisitions for accuracy, documenting changes and discrepancies, and communicating variances to the FPC warehouse buyer.
Maintains well-organized warehouse floor and dock area. Out-of-date products are removed from rotation and brought to the attention of warehouse leadership. Assists in the process of taking inventory within the warehouse dry storage areas, freezers, and coolers. Assists with truck maintenance (non-mechanical), including cleaning the interior and exterior and taking truck to the rental vendor for refueling or for maintenance.
Ensures compliance with Safety and Sanitation Standards and HACCP procedures. Operates forklift, pallet jack, and high-bay picker safely, wearing appropriate PPE and safety harnesses, during operation. Moves all product carefully, to prevent damage to product or property at the FPC or delivery locations. Drives truck in a safe and courteous manner, following all traffic laws, and AH policies/SOPs. Job Summary: Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. Transports and delivers orders of supplies and equipment to all hospital campuses and off-campus locations, according to time schedule. Responsible for taking inventory, pulling orders, and receiving product, including rotating, dating, checking for quality and quantity, and checking the accuracy of requisitions. Maintains safety and sanitation standards, including checking for outdated products and maintaining organization and cleanliness of trucks, stock areas, freezers, and coolers. Wears/uses appropriate safety equipment at all times. Communicates both verbally and in written form in a professional and courteous manner; fills out paperwork accurately. Works seven (7) days a week, on a rotating schedule.
