May manage a function or aid in the operation of a department. May also be used to indicate a position in charge of a non-standard clinical program (this use is infrequent). Does not have direct reports.
Assists Director in coordination of various facets of the GME program which may include candidate interviews and application processes, as well as implementing affiliation agreements and working with mgt on contracts and reimbursement.
Manages a wide variety of activities associated with the Internal Medicine and Podiatry Residency Training Program including orientation, scheduling of rotations conferences and evaluation for house officers and medical students from multiple schools annually. Provides administrative and secretarial support to the Program.
Required: An Associateï¿½s degree in business, secretarial science or related field.
Preferred:Bachelors in related field preferred.
Required: 5 years admin support experience with 2 - 3 years in a GME office. At least 3 years of progressively responsible administrative or secretarial experience, preferably in an academic medical center or teaching hospital, including at least one year working with housestaff and medical students.
Strong knowledge of advanced word processing, spreadsheets, graphics, transcribing dictation and medical terminology required.
