The Nursing Assistant (NA) is a staff member trained to provide personal care and supportive services to the unit�s patient population. He/She functions under the direction and supervision of the RN or LPN.

Education:

1. GED or High School Graduate preferred.

2. Preferred completion of a State approved Nursing Assistant program with a South Carolina Nursing Assistant Certificate or successful completion of the first semester of Nursing in a State accredited Nursing program or relevant patient care experience.

Experience:

Six months of previous nursing assistant experience preferred.

Other Qualifications:

Current BLS certification.
