Responsible for directing and coordinating off shift departmental function and delivery of safe, family-centered care in collaboration with unit managers, educators and director.
Collaborate with nursing leadership team in the strategic planning. Implementation, evaluation and revision of systems to support and enhance the competence, autonomy and accountability of the nursing staff.
Conduct off shift patient care rounds.
Assist with ongoing Joint Commission readiness.
Review documentation and address non-compliant standards with staff.
Assist with coordination of patient satisfaction initiatives throughout unit.
Coordinate daily operations to assure appropriate staffing, optimal patient flow, bed management between units and productivity.
Monitor off-shift staffing to improve labor management across all three CWI departments.
Assist with unit payroll and staff scheduling.
Assist with off shift staff education to support evidence-based practice.
Bachelorï¿½s Degree or equivalent management experience required. Mastersï¿½ degree in nursing, management, or health related field preferred.
3 - 5 years demonstrated leadership ability in an acute care setting, which required sound clinical judgment and fiscal responsibility.
Utilization Review, Case Management experience preferred.
Critical Care experience preferred.
Licensure & Certification:
Registered Nurse licensed to practice in the Commonwealth of MA.
BLS (Basic Life Support) required.
