Responsible for decontamination, cleaning, processing and sterilization of supplies and equipment dispensed by the department following infection control practices. Must be conscientious with regard to procedures and capable of working under pressure and interacting professionally with other departments within the hospital.

Minimum Education:

High school graduate or equivalent;

Graduate of an accredited sterile processing program.

Minimum Experience/Skills:

One (1) year within the past three (3) years experience as a Sterile Processing Technologist preferred;

Knowledge of medical terminology and nomenclature of items and equipment used by the department.

Licenses/Certificates/Credentials:

Certification in specialty preferred
