Works under the direction of the Registered Nurse in caring for Medical/Surgical patients. Able to provide basic hygiene and nursing care to Medical/Surgical patients. Demonstrates the ability to perform basic treatment procedures and to assess and report patient care outcomes for treatments rendered.

Possesses the ability to ambulate, position, and transfer patients.

Has corrected vision and hearing to normal range and is capable of standing and walking for extended period of time.

Demonstrates effective communication skills with staff members, a specific population served, and others.

Possesses the ability to interpret, adapt, and react calmly under stressful conditions.

Previous hospital experience and/or graduate of an accredited school of nursing assistants.

Required Licenses/Certifications:

Certified Nursing Assistant Certificate. State of Florida
