Collective Bargaining Unit: None Posting Salary: COMPETITIVE SALARY Organization: Health and Hospital Systems Job Summary LOCATION: JOHN H. STROGER, JR. HOSPITAL SHIFT: DAY The Tumor Registry Supervisor assists with the daily performance activities associated with the upkeep of Tumor Registry. Reviews patient records in a timely manner for case finding, abstracting and follow- up activities as required by the American College of Surgeons (ACoS) and Illinois State Cancer Registry (ISCR). Assists in the implementation and maintenance of the electronic cancer date system (IMPAC-ELEKTRA METRIQ) as mandated by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer (ACoSCoC) and other regulatory agencies. Maintains familiarity with the use and operation of various computer and software systems (including network functions) and is able to diagnose and correct malfunctions in a timely manner. Participates in various medical staff committee meetings to provide specific and aggregate data for the medical staff to make cancer care plans. Assists in the cancer program accreditation activities as mandated by the ACoSCoC.
This position is exempt from Career Service under the CCHHS Personnel Rules.
