To perform specific duties of a breast radiology representativeand provide assistance for the proper function of the department. This includesthe processing of new orders, imaging records management, scheduling of patients,report distribution, computer system utilization, and interaction withpatients, physicians and other hospital personnel.
This position is responsible for coordinating communicationsactivities between radiologist, radiology staff, other departments, nursingpersonnel and other caregivers, patients, visitors and other customer's serviceactivity. It is accountable for maintenance of physicians order entries,inbound and outbound call volume productivity.Scheduling same day walk in patients. Patient Access Scheduler alsosupport record maintenance inclusive of all clerical functions, such as, filingof the patient's radiology folder, uploading patient medical records to thePACS, downloading patient's medical records for check out or sends out to otherfacilities, sending radiology reports to patient or physician's offices asrequested. Prepares requests to examinations for technologist or radiologist.Scheduling of breast care procedures is required.
